Development Sketches- Evolutionary cycle

Bellow is my drawn and explained evolutionary cycle, the species I choose to expand on was the jellyfish, as I found the movement interesting, and wanted to apply this to my creature

Environment

Bellow is an image with my creature in its desired environment. My jellyfish evolution will live in the sky, surrounded by clouds. It will hunt creatures that fly, and some ground creatures, hunting them silently from above. The Jellyfish attacks its prey using its poisonous testicles to hold it down and paralyze, then suck its blood.

Scale Diagram

My jellyfish will be quite Large when reaches full size in order to give it a larger number of prey that it can fend from. Also so it can compete successfully against the other predators.

Refined Sketch

Turnable Render Movie

The Jelly fishes movement is very similar to a jellyfish in motion under the sea. The suction bits at the bottom of the creature are use to pull the air in, then it is pushed out of the top ones into the canopy to create that projectile motion that I have created.The testicles also help this motion.

Also because the Jellyfish is transparent you are able to the see beat of the heart, which pumps the blood, and the acquired blood (from prey) around the body.

High quality renders

Materials ;
Canopy; The canopy material is rough, and kind of acts like a shield against other predators. So when attacked the jellyfish can hide within its canopy.

Lungs; Transparent, with visible veins through it, where the blood passes, feeding the creature

Heart; Veins are also visible, creating a very interesting texture,

Bones; texture shows that its strong, as it is the structure that holds the jellyfish together.

Beck: reflective, in order to confuse its prey.

Testicles; almost slimy texture, same color as the lungs
